As far as Presidential candidates go, McCain seems to favor a human mission on Mars while Obama is more &quot;cold&quot; to the idea (although he does not mind using robots in space).

Even though Congress has NASA&#039;s backing, the next presidential candidate can either nurture or nip America&#039;s space future, which will determine our ranking on the totem pole as far as space powers go.</description>
